The Hermitage is an oversubscribed 11-19 Academy in Chester-le-Street. We are a Specialist Technology College and also have a specialism within Applied Learning. As a nationally recognised Leading Edge School, we also have an additional specialism within Gifted and Talented provision.

 

In 2007/8 we received an "Outstanding" grade for overall effectiveness by Ofsted. In 2011 our interim assessment from Ofsted confirmed that we had continued to meet these outstanding standards.
