Welcome to The Hermitage Sixth Form and thank you for taking the time to look through our website. We have over 20 exciting and challenging courses, in addition to our extensive enrichment programme and supportive guidance and mentoring system. With our carefully considered curriculum we believe we have what you are looking for.
The Sixth Form is an intergral part of the school although our Sixth Form students have their own independent learning area and a common room for socialising.

Each student is important to us as an individual. Our teaching, careers guidance and extra curricular life all reflect this beleif and combine to maximise and realise the potential of every Posr-16 student. Whilst most of Sixth Form courses have certain minimum entry level requirements, careful consideration is given to each application. Most important is a sense of commitment from the student, whatever the level or duration of the course. Matched by proven expertise and dedication of staff this should lead to one certain outcome - success!
Students join The Hermitage Sixth Form because we offer:
- an ethos which provides a bridge between school and either university or employment
- both Advanced GCE and Applied GCE courses or BTEC - an A level equivalent
- enrichment opportunities such as Community Sports Leadership/Higher Sports Leadership, Duke of Edinburgh, in-class support or charity work
