A Levels 2009

We are once again delighted with the great success of our Sixth Form students in what has again proved a most successful year.

Our students have followed perhaps the widest range of courses we have offered and have obviously thrived on the choice, suitability and challenge of these options. We are delighted that our most able students have been able to achieve the new testing A* benchmark at A Level and are confident that the majority of students will gain places in their first choice Higher Education institutions. These results are a fair reflection on hard work employed by the students and the valued support of parents.

There are too many individual successes to mention but it is worth highlighting Rachael Carey who achieved 5 ‘A’ grades (Durham University to do Law) and Chris Weatherspoon who achieved all A’s across his four chosen subjects (Warwick University to do History). We have again been fortunate to be able to nurture fantastic artistic talent and are delighted with the ‘A’s achieved by the exceptional talents of Rachel Le Dune, Rebecca Whiteley, Rachael Carey and Joanne Brown.

Jamie Dyson achieved the highest grades possible across all three of his subjects and is heading to Newcastle University to do Psychology.

Our staff are proud to have supported over eighty students who will leave us to follow university courses or career paths of their choice and we congratulate them all on their success and wish them the best for their futures.
