ISA Award
The Hermitage has achieved the prestigious International School Award and will be accredited for 3 years from 2009-2012. The International School Award is awarded by the DCSF and British Council in recognition for work to raise our students’ awareness of other cultures and countries. The award is made to a school which has strong links with schools in other countries and where students are able to work with their counterparts abroad through projects and visits. The extensive portfolio of work was sent to the British Council for judging at the end of July with evidence of work completed throughout the last academic year. Mr Duggan who was responsible for coordinating and submitting the application said, “this is a fantastic achievement and recognition of all the hard work that has gone into developing the International dimension in school and across subject areas particularly over the last couple of years.”
